Another lengthy one for you.

Of course I’d firstly like to say Happy Mother’s Day to my mama yet again. If I could even begin to justly explain how deserving you are of more than just one day of celebration, nothing could stop me from doing so. Here is my best, mommy.
-For so many years, you have shown me great strength. A single mother for years upon years, and here you are, still so strong and so able. We, your children, are all capable of greatness because of you. Growing up the way kuya and I had, I know how hard you had it. I know how hard it has been for you. I have had the opportunity that most have not. I’m my mother’s best friend and confidant. You entrusted me, as I got older more and more so, with so much more than just the normal tasks one would ask of a ten-year-old daughter, or eleven, and so on. All these years have gone by, and as difficult as it has been for us, I am most grateful because Lord knows we gathered our strength from Him. How we ever managed, I know we owe it only to Him. The things you have gone through, both when I was too young to understand and now old enough to help and advise you, will never cease to amaze me. I am proud to be the daughter of someone as wonderful as you. We butt heads and argue and have countless misunderstandings, but at the end of the day, you are my mother and I am so blessed. I hope you enjoyed the day and all the food. Nothing is too good for you mommy. If I call you spoiled all the time, that’s okay. You deserve some spoiling after all you’ve been through. I’ll keep working hard and I will succeed mama. I will be exactly who I’ve always wanted to be. A smart, strong, independent woman who is family-oriented and will provide for her own family as well as continue to help and support her mother. I will be able to do it all, woman! And it’s because I was raised by you. I love you, bulok.

Jizz. I cannot express enough what your text meant to me. Seriously. I have so many things I want to say, but I don’t even know where to begin or how to say them. I’m so grateful for you though, and I hope you enjoyed your very special Mother’s Day with Aiden. Such a cute, little munchkin! I loved the picture too!!!! Haha. You brightened up my day, and thankfully, nothing messed it up. I love you whore! Thank you, thank you, thank you times a million.

Mother’s day was a very long, tiring, but fun-filled day. Woke up very early, after sleeping very little, to webcam with the godkids. That is probably the very best way to start off my morning any day. I love them so much!! Rested for just a little and then started the day. Made a huge breakfast for the fambam, ate that plus the leftover desserts made the night before (chocolate covered strawberries and cookies&cream cheesecake cupcakes), and then played Just Dance 2 & 3! Lol, that was freaking hilarious! Played one game of Mario Party 9 and then off to the kitchen again. For lunch we had: Lobster, crusted carne asada steaks, au gratin, baked parmesan zucchini, buttered mushrooms & corn, tinola (one Filipino dish, lol), and biscuits. YUM! :D Talk about food porn, you should have seen our counter! Did a lot of cleaning throughout the weekend due to all the cooking. Played some more Mario Party 9 until our extended family had to go home. My night was spent with the only person who could really complete this mother’s day. One of the best Chubed reunions, and best day/night in a long time.

There are blessings everywhere and every day. I could spend a million years contemplating certain things, but it will never change how I feel about this. I am so thankful for it all, for the love I have and the friends and family that I’ve got.

I love you, happy mother’s day.
